Be proactive when putting your images online. Some simple steps:
- Title your images with your name (Lightroom and Bridge are great for this.)
- Use Lightroom or Bridge to assign metadata (which can be website, email, copyright, keywords). There are other programs that do this as well.
- Give images a caption and assign keywords that can also include your name.
(caption and keywords will show up in get info panel). - Put metadata about yourself in the <head> on index page of your website.
For more information, Click to enlarge images below and view as slideshow.
- Apply a metadata preset for all images in Lightroom, and then add captions, keywords to individual images or groups of imges.
- Create a metadata preset in LIghtroom
- Export images with Lightroom. You must choose export metadata and then customize as you desire.
- The text that you see below lorienovak.com and lorienovak.net is a result of the metadata in my webpage because there is no text on those pages for search engines to pull from.
- Here is info for how to add metadata in your webpages for search engines.
- If you have given your images a caption and title, that information will show up in Get Info if someone downloads your photos.
